Church Museum

The Church Museum is on the upper floor of the cloister, inaugurated in 1990, built in the 18th Century, a work by the architect Francisco de la Riva Ladrón de Guevara.

Aesthetic initiatives of the greatest depth with suggestions of faith are brought together in it, and spontaneously emerge from the religious objects that are contained in it.

They served the piety and the liturgy in the Cathedral or in one of the nearly hundred Asturian parishes, which seek, from the artists’ creations, safety for its artistic objects, opportunity to continue serving the Catechesis and Pastoral Care and possibilities of exercising an intense Pedagogy of the Christian Faith.
